I am from the small town of Weimar, TX. As a child I always wanted to grow up and be something BIG, I wanted people to know my name. I moved to Waco in 2011 with big dreams to be the BEST here, there, anywhere. I attended the McLennan Cosmetology Program and fell in love with making people feel beautiful. After graduating in 2012, I immediately started working at a salon in my hometown. But that dream of being BIG took over, and I wanted something more. After months of debating, I decided to move back to Waco. I was still trying to find myself. And I did! I now feel like I am something BIG. I own my own salon, Cortny + Co, located in Waco Texas. I have the two best pups in the entire world, and my dream guy. And Waco is now my forever home.
I am a balayage enthusiast, confident color specialist, licensed permanent makeup artist, as well as a hair extension expert. I have been involved in the beauty industry for almost 10 years. I am most known for my “Habit Hand-tied” Hair extensions, and Microblading. I trained with well known hairstylist and beauty guru Chrissy Rasmussen of Habit Salon in Arizona, being the first stylist in Central Texas to offer “Habit Hand-tied” hair extensions. Perfecting my craft is what I always strive for, with over 240 hours of extensive training, I have become one of the most sought after brow artists in Waco.
Cortny + Co has been a dream of mine for years, and I always knew that if I wanted to accomplish it, it was going to take hard work and perseverance. I am beyond blessed and grateful for each client who has come through my doors and helped me make my dream come true. I see over 30 clients a week and knowing that each and everyone of them leaves feeling more beautiful and more confident about themselves is the greatest feeling of all. I was given this gift to give to others. And knowing that makes me feel BIG.
Cortny + Co was established in 2019 with one chair, and in 2020 in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, I expanded to a full service six chair salon. I hope to keep continuing to grow for many more years to come!
